More is being learned about the alleged double suicide of online gambling portal website owner Kenneth Weitzner and his wife Jackie. 

Sources close to the investigation reveal to Gambling911.com that the deaths were a combination of overdosing with pills (believed to be Valium) and carbon monoxide.   All the windows and doors of an apartment above the couple’s garage where the bodies were found had been sealed off with tape.  A charcoal grill was used, resulting in the carbon monoxide poisoning.

"(Ken) was severely burned on the upper right thigh and genital area from where he re-lit the grill with lighter fluid," our source tells us.

World’s Largest Ship to Host Poker Cruise

Oasis of the Seas, billed as the world’s largest ship, is set to host an ocean-bound poker cruise.  Ladbrokes, the UK’s biggest bookmaker, will host the cruise. 

The fourth annual poker fest at sea will kick off Jan. 22, 2011 upon the 5,400-passenger vessel.

The seven-night voyage to the Western Caribbean, out of Fort Lauderdale, will include stops in Falmouth, Jamaica; Cozumel, Mexico; and Labadee, Royal Caribbean’s private beach destination in Haiti.

Ocean of the Sea is part of the Royal Caribbean family.

A recent vote by the French Parliament will soon open up one of the largest online gambling markets in Europe to privately held companies. Until recently, the French government has held a monopoly on online bingo and other forms of internet gaming in an effort to keep the revenues that casino games generate within their own borders.

GameAccount UK licence suspended

The UK Gambling Commission has commenced a review under section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005 and, under section 118 of the Act, has decided to suspend that part of Operating Licence number 000-002604-R-104107-004 issued to GameAccount Global Limited relating to remote casino activity, whilst the review takes place.

The suspension is an interim measure, the need for which will be kept under consideration during the review.

The Commission will make no further comment until the review is complete.

GameAccount Global Limited is a mainly skill games operator that has online (remote) gambling interests in the CasinoRip online blackjack site.

According to section 120 of the Gambling Act of 2005, the Gambling Commission may suspend or revoke an operator’s licence if ‘a licensed activity is being or has been carried on in a manner that is inconsistent with the licensing objectives’.
