In a game reminiscent of the 2006 BCS National Championship game, Vince Young got the better of Matt Leinart, only this time on an NFL field. The Titans earned their first win of the pre-season at home on LP field. After a disappointing start to the 2009 season, the Titans finished strong, but missed the playoffs with an 8-8 record. USA friendly sportsbooks had set the Titans as betting favorites in Monday night’s game.

Leinart ended up completing four of his six passes, but couldn’t lead the team on a scoring drive in his limited allotted time on the field. Derek Anderson is currently his biggest competition for the starting job after Kurt Warner retired in the offseason.
